Whether it's profound distress, or the day-to-day ups and downs we experience, it can be hard to know how to come to God and express our fears, our doubts and our grief. The book of Lamentations gives us a picture of how God's people have done that in their darkest days and teaches us how to engage with God when in ours. While Lamentations takes us on a journey of deep sadness, it does not leave us there, but shows us how even in this darkness, God gives us hope. |
